Responsibilities

Provide incredible customer SERVICE, greeting customers and answering questions in a friendly manner, proactively offering assistance and making product / service recommendations and accommodating special requests.

The Opening Sandwich Artist® performs a variety of duties relating to Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) – You will greet and serve guests, prepare food, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service and multitasking abilities are major components of this position. A primary part of this position will be to open the restaurant and bake enough products for breakfast and lunch shifts. As an opener you must be available as early as 5:15 AM.

• Follow strict guidelines for baking all breads and cookies as well as preparing food neatly, accurately, and in a timely way.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains it to guests accurately. Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with guests.
• Checks products in sandwich unit area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Cleans as directed.
• Greets guests in a cheerful manner and prepares their orders, uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and computes the amount of the bill, collects payment from guests and makes change.
• Understands and adheres to all quality standards, formulas and procedures as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual. Must know sandwich formulas within 7 days of hire.
• Accounts for all forms of money, bread, etc. during the shift.
• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitization standards while preparing food, serving food, and clean up. Must be able to prepare a sandwich within 2 minutes 30 seconds within 30 days.
• Maintains professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.
• Completes online coursework on the University of SUBWAY® as directed.

Experience

• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
• Drive-Thru experience would be helpful but not necessary.
