Spartan Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Field Welder in Otwell IN. Outstanding opportunity – temp-to-hire position! This is a family-oriented company who takes care of their employees! Job Description: Selected individual will be responsible for welding projects in the tri-state area to build or repair grain-handling systems. Primary function will be welding out in the field, but will also assist with the construction of grain bins in other facets, including working with concrete. May also be required to help shop fabricators or perform other job functions as required by Supervisor.
Pay Rate: $10.00-$12.00/hour or more based on experience
Shift/Hours: Mon – Fri – some Saturdays – 40 hour week!
Job Requirements:
· 1+ years of recent welding experience or recent vocational training.
· Experience working with concrete finishing preferred.
· Able and willing to climb ladders from four feet to 125 feet or more with proper fall-protection equipment.
· Able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 100 degrees with proper rest periods and liquids provided
· Willing to work long hours in a fast-paced environment.
· This temporary job has the potential to work into a full time permanent position!
· Some travel is required with advance notice (hotel costs are covered and employees receive a per diem for meals).
· Valid Driver's License is required.
· Steel-toe Shoes required
· Proper attire for outdoor work (e.g. long underwear, bib overalls, heavy gloves, and etc. during the winter) - Other PPE, except prescription safety glasses, will be provided.
