(CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
Job Responsibilities
As a Caregiver you will provide personal care and services in client homes. You will provide a variety of tasks for clients, including bathing, mobility and ambulation, dressing, grooming, transferring and feeding. You will be working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Other responsibilities of the Caregiver role include:
Planning, preparing and serving meals
Engaging in conversation and interaction with client
Keeping home organized including light laundry duty
Reminding clients to take medication
Following state regulations and training policies and procedures
Job Requirements
(CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
As a Caregiver you must be kind, loving and compassionate. Ideal candidates are passionate about making a difference in peoples lives by providing exceptional home care. You must have the ability to help people from all walks of life. You will be working with a supervising nurse and need to be able to follow directions, training and guidance.
Other requirements of the Caregiver role include:
1+ year of experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA Certified Nursing Assistant in a home care setting
Must be at least 21 years of age
Good grooming and personal hygiene, including no visible tattoos or body piercing other than earrings
Ability to document daily activities in writing and do simple math
Evidence of homemaking and cooking skills
Completion of a basic aide-training program consistent with State and Federal requirements
Valid certification and evaluations/health exams as required by law
Ability to successfully pass the NLN Skills Test
Current CPR and Basic First Aid certifications
