We have an immediate opening for a Home Care Aid.

Must be able to work at least 1 shift per week and be available weekdays and weekends.

  • Must have some experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Background check required.

Wage: $9.00

Requirements

Home Care Aide Duties:
* Home care aide provides support to individual(s) with disabilities within their residents. Aide assists individuals with his or her requests and needs for services and supports. Implements services and supports to address the service user's goals and desired outcomes as identified through each service user's individual support plan
*Assists service users to identify personal outcomes that best suit their personal interests, cultural background, and desires for the future. Assists the Interdisciplinary Team in identifying supports needed for personal outcomes to be realized. Understands and promotes the service user's goals, as well as personal dignity, respect, individualism and quality of life
*Provides opportunities for choice, and encourages service users to make choices, and to exercise control over themselves and their environment
* Supports service users in eating, resting, dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, playing, and working, according to each person's abilities and interests. Helps service users develop healthy personal and social habits
*Prepares, assists and instructs service users in food preparation, and cleaning of residences and vocational program areas
*Ensures collection & documentation of required data
*Supports service users in identifying and acquiring valued social roles
*Works with each person receiving services to increase motivation; provides consistent reinforcement to learning, continuous assessment of level of functioning, and continuous feedback to each individual for all learning activities
*Gives medications, monitors dosages and makes notes in medical charts in accordance with level of medical certification training and as may be directed by authorized clinical staff
*Transports service users to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities

CETIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Required:
High school diploma or Equivalent (GED) Required:
Valid Drivers license
Personal vehicle insurance coverage
Preferred:
Experience working with MR/DD individuals Preferred:
CPR, First Aid
