Labor Ready is currently hiring Lawn & Garden/Seasonal Sales in the New Richmond, WI and surrounding areas! This is an excellent temporary, temporary-to-hire, and long term temporary opportunities with a great company!

 

Job Description:

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform addition job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

-        Maintains the Lawn and Garden area in accordance with Company policies and procedure by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise/supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensure a safe work environment

-        Maintains the Lawn and Garden area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by safely watering and caring for plants and flowers and receiving plants and flowers by verifying conditions and logging quantities received

-        Maintains merchandise presentation in the Lawn and Garden area by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise

-        Provides Customer service by acknowledging the Customer, identifying Customer needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving Customer issues and concerns, and promoting products and services, while maintaining a safe shopping environment

-        Receives and stocks merchandise/supplies from distribution centers and suppliers and organizes and maintains the Lawn and Garden area by following Company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining paperwork, logs, and other documentation

-        Operates equipment, such as cash registers and related tools, to process Customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold

 

Job Requirements:

-        Willing to work indoors/outdoors in all types of weather

-        Ability to demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn new tasks quickly

-        Values a team work environment and have an upbeat personality and self-motivated

-        Excellent attendance required, dependable, trustworthy, strong work ethic, respects authority

-        Physically, able to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds frequently during a shift

-        Ability to work with a team and multi-task in a fast paced environment with a “can do” attitude

-        Understand written and verbal instructions

-        Attention to detail with a willingness and ability to learn new task(s) quickly

-        Work well with a team and take direction

-        Basic math skills required

-        Must have reliable transportation

-        Background Check & Drug Screen are required

Pay Rate: $7.25-$9.00 hourly

Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday (some weekends)
2nd Shift and 3rd Shift; 8 to 24 hours weekly
