We have an immediate opening for a Breakfast Host/Hostess.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

The Breakfast Host/Hostess serves as a functional member of the Gallery Host team by operating the Gallery Kitchen during breakfast hours. Responsible for preparing buffet items and limited breakfast menu, while also ensuring excellent guest service.

 

Responsibilities and job functions include but are not limited to the following:

1. Resolves guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest, responds promptly to any guest request for service.

2. Arrives at work in a timely fashion in accordance with the posted schedule.

3. Abides by established uniform guidelines

4. Works as a member of the overall hotel team to ensure that each guest has an experience that exceeds their expectations.

5. Attends scheduled training sessions within the hotel as dictated by the brand and the hotel management.

6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in an assembly kitchen environment.

7. Assist Gallery Hosts and maintain a clean food preparation area

8. Prepare simple dishes, dressings and foods according to posted Hyatt Place brand directions.

9. Check for adequate supply of foods and seasonings.

10. Maintain and operate kitchen equipment with a “safety first” mindset and prepares and serves food using safe food handling and storage guidelines.

11. Must be able to read and understand English to comply with functions and directions.

12. Assist other departments within the hotel when necessary to help with guest needs

13. Operate the functional areas of the kitchen

14. Significant portion of the day is spent moving about, speaking and listening, usually while standing up.

15. Close interactions with staff and guests is essential in this position to ensure guest satisfaction

16. Must have the ability to lift, pull, and carry items weighing approximately 25 pounds which occurs a majority of the time. Lifting, pulling or assisting in carrying item weighing 50 pounds or greater occurs occasionally.

17. Reading and writing abilities are used often in reviewing and comprehending food orders, and written instructions from leadership regarding appropriate actions for upcoming functions.

18. Mathematics skills are used on occasion to complete activates requiring measurements and calculations for recipes.
