Labor Ready is currently seeking Food Service - Banquet Servers/Cooks- Prep Cooks/ Bartenders/ Utility Workers for hospitality positions in and around the Schaumburg, IL areas for hospital and colleges.  These are long term temp positions working 1st and 2nd shift, Sunday -Monday. The pay range is $9.00 to $13.00 per hour.

Job Duties:

Entry level Bartenders, Cooks, Prep Cooks, and utilities workers that are willing to work in the hospitality industries.  Most opportunities will consist of working as a banquet servers or bartenders at events at a local college. Most employment opportunities will take place at hospital and schools dining facilitates as cook prep cook or utilities workers.

  Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates MUST have the following:

• High school diploma/GED
• Deli experience
• Must be able to clear a backround screen
• Must be willing to take 5 panel drug-screens
• A Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Have one year of line cook experience, prep cooking or bartending bassets certified preferred
• All cooks are to sets up station according to restaurant guidelines. Cooks also prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.  Chefs are to follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant and assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas. Skills include proficiently being able to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, include chopping knives and vegetable grinders.
• A prep cook is in care perpetration of meals by chopping vegetables, making salads, and putting together entrees. Skills include proficiently being able to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, include chopping knives and vegetable grinders.
• Excellent attendance, dependable transportation, reliable and flexible to work  as needed
• Must be able to work in fast paced, hot or cold environments
• Customer service, good work ethic, Great attitude, Bi-lingual is a plus.
• Physically able to stand, squatt ,bend, reach, push and pull, and lift 50 lbs,for entire shift (8 -10 hours per shift) 
• Able to multitask and works well in a team environment, respects authority, excellent time management skills,
• Must follow safety regulations
• Willing to submit to a criminal background check
