Driver/Porter - Part-time

We have a part-time opening for a Driver/Porter.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Driver/Porter

Responsible for transporting guests to & from assigned destinations within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. Maintain the vehicle clean, inside and out. Verify vehicle tire pressure, fluid levels, fuel and general level of maintenance is within safety standards. Verify and document mileage at the beginning and end of each trip. Ensure that vehicle is parked in designated location when not in use. Notify management of any and all deficiencies and maintenance needs.

Complete safety training and certifications. Assist guests with luggage and/or other packages as needed. Make package deliveries as needed by the Front Office Staff, Guests or as dictated by business demands.

The hotel driver will also serve as a lobby porter, maintaining order in the lobby as instructed by management, ensuring that furniture is properly placed, that the lobby water, coffee and other confections are properly displayed and maintained throughout the evening.

Applicant must be at least 24 years of age, have a valid Texas Drivers License, clean driving record according to the DMV, and have an infectious smile and gracious guest focused personality.

This associate would, in many cases, provide safe, comfortable transporation services to guests and stakeholders of an upscale Energy Corridor Hotel.

This position would typcially work Monday through Friday from 4 PM to approximately 9 PM and flexible scheduling around high traffic time periods.  Mode of transportation is a hotel 10 passenger step van.

Compensation includes a base hourly rate and gratuities.
