An Apria Sales Representative needs to possess basic selling skills, provide product information to referral sources, understand and provide information on Medicare and commercial insurance procedures, and have excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with physicians, office staff, hospital administrators, case managers, discharge planners and department heads.

Summary:

This position is responsible for all selling Apria products and services for their assigned geographic area. This person will work closely branch staff to focus efforts on growing our services and provide high customer satisfaction. This person will also have responsibility for meeting both revenue and profitability goals for the services in the area, and will work with their Market Leader to develop and execute specific strategies to achieve these goals.

What you'll do:
  • Establish and maintain a relationship with referral sources in the medical community.
  • Validate and develop new referral sources by leveraging targeting data and field knowledge for all product lines.
  • Conduct in-service for referral sources by educating them on the use and application of Apria products and services.
  • Follow up on referral sources or patients to identify problems with product or services, report to management and be part of resolving issues.
  • Partner with branch management and staff as well as other functional areas within the company to drive sales growth
  • Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts.
  • Understand and provide information on Medicare and commercial insurance procedures, pricing information, and product information to referral sources.
  • Maintain accurate records on prospective and active accounts assuring information sent to reimbursement offices for billing and collection activities flows smoothly.


Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would bring:
  • Education equivalent to a four-year BA/BS degree is preferred
  • Minimum of one to three years of related sales and/or customer service experience
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Be self-assured, tactful and supportive as this position maintains existing and fosters new relationships with major hospital/health systems in territory
  • Existing relationships with major hospitals/systems in the territory preferred
  • Ability to learn and apply new information quickly and to interpret insurance needs and offer appropriate solutions to customers
  • Ability to easily multi-task in a team-selling environment
  • Concise and accurate documentation practices
  • Geographically located within or close to assigned territory
