As a Senior Healthcare Economic Consultant within the Healthcare Economics team, your work products will help drive UHC's efforts to improve the healthcare experience of American seniors.  Join us as we translate academic research into viable, real-world solutions to the challenging landscape of healthcare in the United States. 


 


The primary responsibility of the position is to evaluate, via quantitative analysis, the health outcome and economic impact of health care interventions, policy changes, population health dynamics, and the natural history of disease. The position is well suited for an individual who enjoys variety in their work. Our work spans the full spectrum of disease states, health events, and health services (medical, behavioral, and pharmacy).


Requirements

Qualifications:


- Well-developed understanding of epidemiologic, pharmacoeconomic, and health services research design and methods, including the various methods of economic evaluation


- Demonstrable Project Management skills required.


- Strong Excel skills (pivots, etc.) required.


- Proficient in the application of advanced statistics to evaluate economic, clinical and humanistic outcomes. Programming experience with SAS is required.


- 5+ years of experience within healthcare industry


- 5+ years of experience with data reporting and analysis


- Able to present your research and ideas to key leaders and clientele


- Proven track record of translating research findings into actionable information to support business decisions.


- Excellent written and oral communication skills.


- Established record of peer-reviewed publication preferred


 


Education:


-       Master Required  - MPH Desired


-       PHD Preferred within epidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, health services research, economics, health economics, public health, biostatistics or a related, relevant discipline is required. PhD with applied research focus is preferred.
