Maintenance Associate: Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on all mechanical equipment including tow motor and diesel engines. Also includes maintenance on buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems and utility systems which may include using lifts to reach height requirements.

SHIFT: 9AM-6PM MONDAY-FRIDAY
COMPENSATION: $16-$22 BASED ON EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment including towmotor and diesel repairs and preventative maintenance.

• Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed. Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches.

• Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems. .

• Operates tow motor, lift and other maintenance equipment as needed in a safe manner.

• May install computer cables. Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets.

• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

• Responsible for all OSHA safety requirements designed in/built in machinery, including safety oriented operating instructions.

• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.


• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product,
o Process and quality system.

• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.

• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

• Verify the implementations of solutions.

• Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the
o deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product,
o process and quality system.

• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.

• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. a) EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of two (2) years of combined experience and/or education related experience or combination of both. Valid Driver's license. Required experience in mechanics and preferably welding and working on diesel engines. Read and interpret, technical drawings, schematics. Prefer previous tow motor certification.

1) LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

2) MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

3) REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

i) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to work viewing a computer screen. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

ii) The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
