Kitchen Managers are proficient at and responsible for running all areas of the kitchen, including serving as key opening or closing leadership. They also are responsible for managing labor and food costs, leading shifts, kitchen cleanliness, and food quality. They do this with the support of Team Leaders.  It is always an expectation to have two leaders in the store (a combination of front of house and kitchen).

Kitchen Managers have the responsibility of making the vision of the Owner a reality by ensuring guests have a “Remark”able experience. Kitchen Managers, like Team Leaders, are the front line for Second Mile Service, and are ambassadors of these behaviors to Chick-fil-A team members, guests, and community.

Kitchen Managers are responsible for identifying team members that should be recognized for their commitment and performance as well as those team members that require specific coaching or corrective action. Kitchen Managers are expected to hold all team members accountable to the standards set up by Chick-fil-A and MNE LLC policies, and as such are expected to model these standards for the rest of the team. Kitchen Managers are required to be certified in all back of house/kitchen Pathway modules.

Kitchen Managers hold key administrative functions and responsibilities. These areas include (but are not limited to) truck, schedule, assisting with end of month functions and general equipment maintenance.  Kitchen Managers must have a deep understanding of all catering operations.

 

Kitchen Managers are expected to participate in the continual evaluation, coaching, encouragement, and development of the entire kitchen team.  This includes recognizing and developing potential kitchen leaders and kitchen trainers.

Requirements

The Kitchen Manager has the responsibility for directing the daily operations of a quick service restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operations, including production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, financial accountability, ensuring the highest quality products and services are delivered to our customers and other duties as required.
