About this job

Responsibilities include:

 


  • Analyze financial results, trends, and performance metrics and provide variance and root cause analyses to support business decisions


  • Conduct monthly analysis to facilitate understanding of monthly results against the financial plan or forecast and partner with senior leaders to collaboratively manage the plan or forecast


  • Partner with business leaders to gather information, evaluate financial opportunities and cost savings initiatives to maximize resources and create efficiencies


  • Identify, investigate and address anomalies in the financial statements


  • Create financial models and conduct ad hoc analysis for senior management


  • Monthly reporting and analysis of periodic financial data


  • Develop and produce clear, well-formatted financial reports that are appropriate for various audiences or customized to address specific topics


  • Collaborate with team members to leverage technology and carry out process improvements 


  • Develop, perform and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting


  • Provide in-depth analysis for building budget and forecasts


  • Identify and verify leadership assumptions as needed during the financial planning process


  • Work closely with the business and collaborate with cross functional teams to develop, recommend and establish plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies


  • Enhance analysis tools to achieve accuracy and improve overall planning process

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance


  • 3+ years of accounting or financial planning experience


  • Advanced Excel skills.


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


  • Strong analytical, problem solving and general quantitative skills


  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles and financial concepts

 
Preferred:




  • MBA, CPA or CPA


  • Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, or experience with major ERP systems


  • Performs work in self-directed manner with less structured, more complex issues 


  • Ability to simultaneously work on several projects under strict timelines and under minimal supervision


  • Growth track record


  • Highly detail oriented


  • Resourceful and innovative problem-solving skills


  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems 


  • Takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 


  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
