Scope of position The Store Manager (SM) directly leads and manages his/her salespeople, channels information to and from the sales team and oversees the physical store. The SM coaches and develops personnel to perform at their best, has a complete understanding of what happens on the floor and is responsible for sales numbers. He/She is an integral component in achieving sales excellence and customer service success. Some selling required.
Requirements
--High School Diploma (or state equivalency certificate) required; some college preferred
--4+ years in sales or customer service
--Assertive leadership, proactive planning, thinking and prioritization
--Even-tempered personality with active listening and strong problem solving skills
--Solid interpersonal, oral and written communication and relationship building skills
----Self-motivated fast learner with desire for ongoing learning
The ability to learn, grow and teach through coaching and constructive criticism
Flexible work schedule; ability to work at minimum two weekend days/month, some holidays, as well as attend or participate in special events as required; minimum 45 hour-work week with varied shifts
Responsibilities(may include, but not limited to):
--Manage store personnel to meet and exceed sales goals and customer service standards
--Assess, coach and teach staff technical aspects of the job including store policies, procedures, sales, customer service and communication
--Work with his/her ASM to hire, promote, observe and evaluate, discipline, transfer and terminate members of his/her designated store
--Maintain an efficient and harmonious team work environment
--Complete supervision of the store and all its processes and procedures from its sales activity, to its cleanliness as well as its atmosphere
--Compile a monthly schedule to ensure appropriate staffing
--Establish targets for Sales Associates and report on actual performance to budget. Motivate team to meet store goals through effective action plans and coaching
--Communicate clearly, concisely, accurately, and tactfully in order to ensure effective store operations as well as superior customer interactions
--Resolve escalated customer issues to 100%resolution
--Direct store and associates in appropriate level of enthusiasm, professionalism and sense of urgency
--Hold consistent huddles, team meetings and monthly one-on-one sessions
