POSITION SUMMARY:
Account Representatives are responsible for phone collections from an assigned group of accounts with a goal of decreasing monthly delinquency on existing customers. S/he is responsible for establishing contact with the customer through letters, phone calls, chases and legal notices and determining resolution on the account.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Takes inbound calls in a prompt and friendly manner- logs into phone for 6 hours minimum.
* Performs heavy phone collections- no less than 85 calls daily.
* Contacts customers concerning their pay dates/amounts and acceptable payment arrangements.
* Balances workload between phone calls, chases and notices in a timely manner.
* Completes skip tracing on no contact accounts.
* Sends out delinquent notices on accounts where acceptable arrangements have not been made.
* Gains debt to income information from customers to set up payment plans.
* Provides accurate documentation pertaining to each account.
* Meets Over 30, Under 30, and Repossession goals provided each month by Manager.
* Works according to legal regulations in every aspect of the position.
* Completes steps required before determining how to proceed with possible repossessions and/or legal accounts.
* Adheres to all policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent Required, College a plus.
* Basic computer skills with ability to type at least 25 wpm.
* Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email and person to person.
* Capability of gathering facts accurately, analyze causes, evaluate alternate solutions and arrive at sound conclusions on action to be taken.
* Ability to manage multiple and/or conflicting responsibilities.
* Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Working knowledge of the View/AS400 system a plus.
