2nd Shift General Assembly

 Remedy Intelligent Staffing is hiring 2nd Shift General Assemblers for a great company in Watertown.

POSITION SUMMARY

General Assemblers are responsible for producing parts by setting up and operating equipment in their respective Business Unit and, may, at times, also be expected to provide support to other Business Units. Assemblers must work safety at all times and efficiently to ensure top productivity and quality in products produced.

• Short Run Department

Straightening and induction heat treating

• Long Run Department

Straightening, induction heat treating, weigh sorting, washing/blasting and gauging

• Fab 4 Department

Hot forming, Chainabrator, and induction heat treating

 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Straightening responsibilities:

Set-up and operation of small tonnage presses (typically 350 tons or less).

Install specified dies in press using gauges and hand tools.

• Hot forming responsibilities:

Inserts blanks manually into press and performs hot form operations.

• Induction heat treating responsibilities:

Operate induction units and lapel equipment, ensuring units are running properly and product meets quality standards.

Troubleshoot any induction unit issues with a production lead or supervisor.

• Washing / Blasting responsibilities:

Operate washing and blasting equipment, ensuring product is clean prior to coating and/or final oiling

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Performs quality checks as prescribed and reports issues to their supervisor.

• Complete relevant check lists, documentation accurately and timely and per instruction

• Perform operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping per established schedules

• Other duties as assigned

• Long Run

Straightening presses, induction heat treating, weigh sorting, and gauging equipment

• Fab 4

Hot forming and induction heat treating equipment, Chainabrator operations

 

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
