What you will be doing

  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Interstate standards, as required by scheduling, which will very according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes a nametag when working.
  • Comply at all times with Interstate standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
  • Attend regular department meetings.
  • Stay current on the latest thinking pertinent to nail services and the salon and become well-versed and trained in its application.
  • Perform a variety of nail services to guests.
  • Analyze guest’s nails and tailor nail treatments to the specific needs and requests of guests.
  • Explain nail services and products to guest in a knowledgeable, professional and thorough manner.
  • Prepare nail services and salon equipment and supplies daily.
  • Maintain supply and treatment areas as directed.
  • Explain products and reasons for the prescribed body treatment to guests.
  • Submit supply requests to the Lead Nail Technician/Spa Manager in a timely fashion to ensure proper product availability for guests.
  • Coordinate services and interact effectively with other salon stylists/technicians to facilitate optimum delivery of services and maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure a pleasant visit for each guest and maintain effective guest relations.
  • Promote and execute effective retail sales.
  • Be knowledgeable and informed regarding all salon and general spa and resort programs and services.
  • Provide necessary information to compile complete guest records.
  • Perform special projects as required by the Spa Director, Spa Manager of Lead Nail Technician
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the salon facility as directed by the Spa Director, Spa Manager or Lead Nail Technician.
  • Sanitize equipment according to the industry standards for maintaining safe guest hygiene.
  • Provide appropriate and consistent levels of guest service and hospitality.
  • Report for scheduled shifts promptly and ready to work.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as designated by the Spa director, Spa Manager or Lead Nail Technician
  • Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with the management’s standards.
  • Report any problems incurred immediately to the Lead Nail Technician or the Spa Manager.
  • Work diligently to support the Interstate team philosophy throughout the property.
  • Comply with all departmental and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Interstate proprietary information.
  • Promote positive guest relations for all guests by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Resolve guest complaints in a manner which promotes positive guest relations.
  • Maintain accurate property information through daily use of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
  • Attend all meetings/training as required by supervisor or manager
