Financial Analyst*

Job Title: Financial Analyst*
Terms of Employment: Contract
Pay: Based on Experience. Pay range is $25 to $40 an hour
Requirements:
Must have SOX experience
Prefer a Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of three years of finance and accounting is required and a broad knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools is required
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion and/or other relational databases.
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Providing management with information vital to the decision making process.
Maintain Capital Spending Tracking System
Analysis of proper classification of capital projects for the build team
Assure proper policies and procedures are followed according to GAAP
Maintain good relations between Engineering and Finance
Specific function related duties:
Track expenditures vs. Budget on build team capital projects
Prepare documentation for capitalizations, asset transfers & disposals
Analysis of monthly spending on fixed assets
Analysis of monthly tooling amortization and fixed asset depreciation accrual
CAPEX spending weekly reports
Reconciling various General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Provide training to the engineering community of the policies, procedures, and proper classification of projects
Post month end closing entries.
Maintain SOX binder
Support forecast and profit plan activities.
