Summary

Are you a dynamic and outgoing sales professional? The Retail Sales Representative (RSR) is responsible for developing and growing sales volume in their assigned territory through effective fact-based selling and relationship-building with a retail account’s operations personnel at store and market (district) levels.

Responsibilities:

Develop and leverage relationships with key influence and decision makers in assigned stores and markets.

Establish and maintain business relationships with both store personnel and clients in order to effectively execute program objectives.

Effectively gain front-end and main-aisle presence of client brands.

Distribute program literature and samples to cashiers.

Assist customers based on their individual usage needs and interests.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent job-related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous retail sales experience preferred.

Demonstrate skills and behaviors pertaining to Achieving Results, Consultative Selling, Initiative, Organization and Planning.

Dynamic, upbeat salesperson that exudes high energy and execution excellence.

Superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to translate ideas and concepts into retailer benefits.

Daily access to a personal computer with Windows operating system, daily internet/email access and printer.

Strong self-management skills.

Should possess basic computer, retail store math and wireless PDA skills.

Competent with Microsoft Office Software.

Ability to work full-time or part-time retail schedule, Monday through Sunday.

Ability to stand comfortably for up to 8 hours a day.

The Retail Sales Representative (RSR) is responsible for developing and growing sales volume in their assigned territory through effective fact-based selling and relationship building with retail account’s operations personnel at store and market (district) level.

Consultative Selling:

Developing and leveraging relationships with key influence and decision makers in assigned stores and markets.

Delivering consistent market level contact as per client standards.

Effectively gaining front end and main aisle presence of client brands. This is accomplished in conjunction and alignment with store or market personnel so that the primary merchandising and stocking duties are done by store personnel. This collaborative relationship is developed on a mutual interest and business relationship. Achieving Results.

Meeting or exceeding POS to plan goals for assigned stores and markets.

Delivering a positive gap versus Non-DRT.

Growing POS for client brands by selling incremental display locations, selling the execution of plan-o-gramed locations, executing initiatives as well as maintaining in stock conditions.

Analyze and develop business plans each trimester that identifies opportunities to grow sales within their territory. This business plan would include a review of the previous trimester, analysis of upcoming POS to plan goals, opportunities to close gaps, an action plan with specific territory goals and time table.

Organizing and Planning:

Follow team sales call standards and effectively orchestrate a call coverage plan that meets the business needs of client and the retail customer. Administration/Reporting- complete accurate and timely paperwork, reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, expense reports, etc.

Job Requirements:

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent job-related experience.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

Previous retail sales experience preferred.

Driving Requirements:

Driving is an essential duty and function of this job and requires the use of Personal Vehicle.

Must maintain current and valid driver’s license and valid proof of current insurance.

Travel Requirements:

Travel to client site as necessary.

Other Requirements:

Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.

Physical Demands:

May stand for up to 8 hours.

Climb stool or step ladder to reach up to 10 feet in order to obtain/lift/move product or appliances weighing up to 20 lbs.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.

May push and pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 300 pounds fully laden with appliances, supplies and product.

Occasionally bend and/or stoop, crawl and/or climb, and kneel.

Continuously walk, use feet and/or legs for repetitive motion, and use hands and/or arms for repetitive motion.
