The Holiday Inn in Wilmington is seeking a strong, sales focused individual to join our team as a Sales Coordinator. This position is responsible for the generation of small event business and  maximizing profits and revenue for the Roberts Conference Centre. This position also has the responsibility of managing administrative duties for the Sales department.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for achieving established revenue goals.
  • Completes sales reports, monthly reports for the Director of Sales.
  • Responsible for the generation and completion of  mailing lists, BEO, contracts, etc..
  • Ensure that all event agreements are done in compliance with standard operating procedures and/or via discussions with Director of Sales/General Manager.
  • Ensure that all data is recorded accurately in Delphi system such as lost business, cancellations, BEO’s, contracts, sales call activities, etc…
  • Provide all operational departments of Roberts Centre facility with timely, detailed, and accurate BEO’s to ensure that operations can create staffing schedules to provide services to the guests, such as concession needs, catering requirements, projection/AV needs, parking needs etc…
  • Responsible to work within the budgetary guidelines of all F&B menus and pricing structure and/or review with Director of Sales or General Manager for pricing that falls outside of those guidelines.
  • Notifies all departments of each function and any changes made after the initial BEO is produced.
  • Stay’s focused on all sales objectives to ensure that the sales efforts are producing the annual sales revenues.
  • Ensure that client is greeted prior to each event/function.
  • Assist with event billing and invoicing when requested.
  • Provides input as needed for marketing ideas; provides back up support for assistant managers.

  •   Passion and excitement for the hospitality/service industry.

                                               

  • Degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
