About this job

1. Primary Purpose of the Function
• Order Pursuit and Order Management
• Customer Service functions that support the key organizational objectives
2. Major activities/Key Challenges
• Knowledge and personal accountability of Alcoa/Kawneer North America EHS policies and procedures
• Work with customer on quote follow-up, order changes, product issues, customer claims.
• Utilize or develop knowledge of product and price book
• Sales order entry with correct pricing and scheduled date
• Work Order creation and closing
• Inventory re-ordering for customer stock length, hardware. Stock Doors and Crib
• Interact with Customers, Sales Representatives, and Service Center employees
• Coordinate and advance project status, including Estimating, Order Entry and Takeoff
• Schedule based on current lead times and Production schedule
• Ability to perform take-offs using KaluCAD
• ERP system (JD Edwards) knowledge for order management and inventory systems
• JDE price concession based on established guidelines
• Customer Correspondence and Internal Communication
• Customer Claims (Credits) processing and Customer Feedback Investigation
• Miscellaneous Filing

Basic Qualifications • Post High education • Five year related work experience • 0-25% Travel to customer or Kawneer locations Preferred Qualifications • Use or develop knowledge of products and price book • Computer skills in all Alcoa/Kawneer North America Front End systems • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications • Order tracking and follow-up to achieve customer requirements • Ability to work in a team environment, which includes be self-motivated, accepting responsibilities, completing assigned action items, and participating in a proactive manner in all team events. • Demonstrates the ability to research, analyze, and determine root cause for customer orders and inventory issues. Help Implement solutions and monitor results • Construction/architectural industry background
