Presently WIS International is seeking a highly motivated HRIS/Benefits Analyst to join our team.


JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Human Resources and working closely with the HR, Benefits and IT departments, this position will focus on data maintenance and analysis, HRIS report writing, and benefits administration and analysis. Key to this role's success is the knowledge and ability to act as the subject matter expert in both the HRIS and Benefits systems to manipulate data and provide accurate reporting on a variety of metrics and data topics.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Responds to HRIS core application, self service, data integrations and supported HR systems requests via ticketing system and service support line in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Researches and resolves errors surfaced by application users and integration processes by determining cause of the issue and leveraging support tools such as system/integration documentation, vendor knowledge bases and user networks.
  • Develops critical working relationships with internal business owners and associated functional work-teams to understand enterprise requirements and contribute to application and process improvements.
  • Participates in testing activities for HRIS/benefits projects.
  • Continually builds detailed knowledge documents for all supported applications and document for team reference.
  • Interacts with benefits/hr team members to develop and facilitate system and policy best practices.
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor including back-up support for any other team roles.
  • Develops and generates reports as requested using HRIS report tool (Cognos) and other internal systems.
  • Supports new HRIS projects, conversions, initiatives as assigned.
  • Ensures data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flow for process improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluates HR processes and recommend automated solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Provides analytical, technical, administrative and project management support as it relates to benefits, HRIS, reporting and compliance measures.
  • Resource for complex employee benefits reporting and customer service issues.
  • Accurate and timely data entry into HRIS and Benefits systems in compliance with company record keeping and provider timelines.
  • Audits all data entered into the systems in collaboration with HR Director.
  • Maintenance, system administration, and updating of all system configurable fields, tables, and features including benefits deductions, job description set up tables, all codes, and other editable fields.
  • Serves as primary report writer for data out of HRIS and Benefits systems using Cognos.
  • Assists in training end-users including preparing educational PowerPoint presentations and training manuals.
  • Maintains key relationships with benefit providers and broker and help in the coordination and communication of benefit related initiatives and projects.
  • Creates standard practices and processes for the HR group specifically regarding benefits, HRIS, and equity areas.
  • Prepares yearly benefits analysis of ROI on benefits programs offered and use ratios. Lead any benefits survey efforts and analyze data to provide recommendations on charges year over year.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of HRIS support experience.

Skills:
  • Previous experience either as a lead or as a member of a direct team dealing with large data system conversion projects; preferably medium to large scale projects.
  • Previous experience in benefits systems and working with benefit plans.
  • Preferred knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (UltiPro, COGNOS) and developing workflow systems to accompany programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access to include database implementation, database import/export, report/queries implementation.
  • Previous experience with SQL preferred.
