RETAIL SALES CONSULTANT

Summary

Responsible for the direct sale and rental of telephone equipment, telecommunication products/accessories and network services to residential and business customers. Assist customers with service requests, process payments, handle inquiries regarding products, rates, regulations and policies. Query and input information into computerized system. Prepare various reports and perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Initiate sales effort to achieve established sales objectives. Hndle customer inquiries, sell and rent telephone equipment, network services and other product/accessories to residential and business customers quoting rates as required.
• Demonstrate products and services for customers as required.
• Process warranty returns and exchange transactions ensuring transactions are processed timely and accurately.
• Order, receive, and maintain inventory. Prepare, package, test dispense telephone equipment as required. Assist with in-store merchandising activities to enhance the store environment.
• Process necessary paperwork associated with the sales or lease of in-store products. Perform system inquiry and entry functions via RCE, POS, and related systems. Handle money, balance cash, prepare bank deposits, forms and reports.
• Receive and process payments from customers paying in person or the night deposit box.
• May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.

Qualifications

• Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy.
• Twelve (12) months of sales or customer service experience desired within the last five (5) years. Computer keyboard and mouse function understanding desirable. The employee must also possess the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the above duties associated with customer sales and service under minimum supervision.
• Attire   Appropriate to greet public. Determined by Management at this location.

Salary Information

Hourly Rate: $9.59 - $15.36
