Sanitation Supervisor

Task Description:
The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for organizing, directing, supervising & coordinating all sanitation activities in a safe and timely manner.
The candidate must possess above average organization & planning skills to meet this dynamic, diverse and flexible work environment.
Candidate must manage priorities and projects simultaneously.
A background in the following areas of Facility Maintenance would be an asset: PM scheduling and coordination with other departments to complete sanitation requirements. Project planning and management skills are required as well.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor employee performance relative to budget, schedules and due dates.
• Implement and enforce work rules.
• Prepare and review plans, safety requirements and tasks with fellow supervisors.
• Determine and recommend solutions to sanitation problems and facility discrepancies.
• Monitor manpower utilization and productivity and facilitate the efficient use of personnel and equipment.
• Coordinate movement and use of equipment and supplies with Procurement.
• Inspect fieldwork to evaluate the progress and efficiency of operations and cost control.
• Ensures overall project workmanship and goal attainment.
• Assist in the coordination, direction and control of personnel and work activities.
• Function as assistant to the FMR (Facility Supervisor). This person may report to a FAM or an FMR.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in multi- project organizational skills.
• Proficient writing, communication, and presentations skills.
• Manage work priority, develop job plans, define parts and materials, define crafts & skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe and effective work plan.
• CMMS proficient

• Self- motivated
• This position requires mandatory three to five or more years of supervision
• College degree or work related experience desired.
• Experience working in a union environment and UAW experience is highly desired.
