About this job

Responsible for being a subject matter expert in the CMS Star Rating system. Up to date knowledge of CMS Star Rating Technical Specifications & Guidance expected (current knowledge of system preferred, but not required).

Own, develop and maintain various star rating datasets, tools, models, analyses and reports including, but not limited to: competitive and regional data, member level factor analysis, goal setting, and predictive modeling.

Organize and utilize disparate data to develop sound business recommendations. Be able to approach issues from a broad/strategic perspective while also focusing on the details. Quickly grasp the complexities, interrelationships and conceptual themes among problems and issues.

Participate and/or lead regional and functional meetings, providing input and guidance based on data and analytics. Display and present data in a meaningful and easy to understand manner.

Develop both automated and customized reports.

Complete ad hoc analysis based on a wide variety of star rating data as needed.

Monitor historical and current data trends in order to make recommendations and predictions.

Conduct quality checks of data, often including statistical validations.

Requirements

Ability to conduct statistical regression models and use results to inform predictive modeling
Previous CMS (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Service) Star Rating, Medicare, healthcare quality programs, or pay for performance experience


Self-motivation & self-direction skills
Experience with measuring and monitoring performance metrics
SAS or SQL Programming Skills
VBA Macro Skills (preferred)
Ability to initiates and foster unique and innovative solutions and ideas
