About this job

Position Summary:

Food service managers partner with the general manager in the planning, supervising and managing of operation and activities of the food service area of a FiveStar. They are responsible for communications, merchandising, customer service, food safety, storage, preparation, sanitation, supervision, and training of the food service areas.

  • Extremely proficient in customer service representative duties and responsibilities.
  • Follow up with general manager on communications relating to food service.
  • Merchandising – pricing, evaluating freshness, product presentation and signage.
  • Responsible for customer service in the food service area.
  • Knowledgeable of food service operations including policies, portion control, recipes, inventory control and ordering, storage methods, rotation, equipment, and related accounting procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of all sanitation guidelines, health and food safety regulations.
  • Initiate all company food service promotions at store level.
  • Train and supervise customer service representatives in food service responsibilities.
  • Perform all other tasks as they are assigned by management

Minimum qualifications:

  • Able to pass a drug screen
  • The ability to complete this employment application process

  • Be able to hear the spoken word
  • Have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
