Oil & Gas Upstream Data Sourcing Scout

Job Description Summary:



Responsible for proactively sourcing energy data in assigned region directly from oil and gas drillers, operators and/or service companies through frequent telephone contact



General Job Duties:

Works under general supervision or within a team

Requires some judgment or evaluation of a variety of factors

Able to independently utilize web sites and industry publications for relevant information

Responsible for day to day sourcing, capturing, matching, identification and validating/creating relationships

May answer internal or external customer questions or respond to requests

Specific Job Duties:

Obtains management or owner approvals from companies within assigned region to source information

Independently establish, cultivate and maintain cooperative relationships with oil and gas and service company contacts to source drilling and completion information on a regular basis

Becomes the subject matter expert in assigned region about activity trends and company strategies

Assists operations analysts with questions and exception handling of well information

Qualifications:



Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a Geo-Technical discipline or Petroleum Engineering or equivalent Industry experience is required

Required Experience:

Requires 3 - 5+ years industry related experience

• Ability to develop SQL queries is desired
