Accounts Payable and Purchasing Supervisor

Summary

The Accounts Payable and Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for managing the accounts payable department, for the coordination and management of centralized purchases, payment of all company invoices in a timely fashion and other duties that may be required.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Ensure the timeliness of daily, weekly and bi-weekly check runs and payment of invoices, following-up on any outstanding invoices pending approval

? Review invoices for proper coding and approval, working with managers and partners to address errors

? Coordinate all centralized purchases including the collection of quotes from vendors, preparation of purchase orders, maintenance of product inventories and the reconciliation of receipts against purchases

? Train new and temporary staff

? Identify and execute process improvements recommendations

? Review annual 1099s for accuracy and timely reporting

? Ad-hoc duties to support the business which may include periodic reporting to managers and partners

Education and/or Experience

? Knowledge of standard accounts payable policies, procedures and regulations

? Minimum 5 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisor/manager role

? Proficiency in Excel

? Bilingual in Spanish highly desired

? Ag experience highly desired
