The Finance Manager in the revenue team will be responsible for managing and planning the revenue reporting, analysis, and accounting support activities for the Northeast region. Also includes responsibilities for membership and revenue reconciliations, mid month and month end revenue and membership projections, support for monthly financial closings, general ledger account reconciliations, and financial analyses and reporting.

 


  • Manage and review the monthly financial reconciliations related to various revenue sources for the health plans in the West region.

  • Lead the process to resolve the exceptions coming out of membership and revenue reconciliations in partnership with the operations teams and health plans.

  • Recommend accounting entries to the general ledger and set up of accruals/ reserves based on the monthly reconciliations.

  • Manage the monthly billing and accrual process for different revenue sources to ensure accurate financial results within established timeframes. 

  • Research and evaluate trends and variances in health care revenues and receivables.

  • Leverage technology to add controls and eliminate risk from financial processes.

  • Prepare reports and analyses as required in support of the monthly financial closing process and ongoing financial activities.

  • Develop policies and procedures for the revenue team, in consultation with the management.

  • Participate and help in the standardization of revenue analysis and accounting processes across the organization.

  • Prepare analyses required to support timely collection of accounts receivable.

  • Provide internal service and support to project managers and field finance leads on various revenue related financial issues.

Requirements


  • BS/BA in accounting, finance or equivalent field

  • CPA and/or MBA desired.

  • 5+ years progressive work experience in finance and accounting

  • Supervisory experience required

  • Experience in a service, consulting or health insurance industry preferred (Medicaid experience a plus).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Process oriented - experience with creating and enhancing processes.

  • Strong computers skills including experience with data warehouses, MS Access, relational databases, or structured query language (SQL) highly desired.

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and effectively influence others is required.
