Part-time Packaging Position

 The Parts Packager reports directly to the Pick/Ship Supervisor or Pick/Ship Lead Person.

Job Summary

 The Parts Packager is responsible for properly packaging parts to meet customer standards and work instructions.

Job Qualifications

 High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

 Possess the ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written communications.

 Quality on number/alpha equivalency test must meet overall standard of 95%.

 Capable of lifting up to 51 pounds.

 Must have capability of being on feet all day (standing or walking), if necessary.

 Frequent bending, squatting, lifting and reaching may be necessary.

 Must be able to work extended hours if needed.

 Be able to set priorities and reach daily deadlines.

 Strong organizational skills.

 Strong safety work ethic necessary.

 Must be flexible to work until all daily orders are shipped.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities

 Work with shipping department to ensure daily efficient flow of parts to customers.

 Keep work area organized and practice good housekeeping.

 Work within the guidelines of established department Work Instructions.

 Assist in making recommendations for improving efficiency and/or the effectiveness of work instructions that would benefit the company and its employees.

 Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Vintage Parts, Inc. Employee Handbook.

 Assist in training new personnel if necessary.

 Maintain cleanliness in all work areas.

 Attend departmental meetings when required.Fill out Daily Job Cards.

 Work in other areas assigned by Supervisor.
