This position is responsible for the sale of renewals for groups of 51-99 eligible subscribers.  The position is responsible for retaining all SB customers through exceptional service and through development of strong relationships with customers, general agents and brokers. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for renewing existing business (51-99 life segment) and selling new business to existing accounts (NBEA)

·         Supports sales efforts targeted at potential new and renewal accounts; collaborate with Account Executive to determine appropriate product(s) to position to brokers/customers

·         Responsible for end to end customer experience

·         Research, analyze and identify root causes of complex service issues for brokers and customers.  Direct dedicated functional experts (billing, customer service, claims, etc.) on corrective action steps/issue resolution to ensure end to end resolution of the issues. 

·         Lead, direct and conduct enrollment/benefit meetings and health fairs for assigned business

·         Train and consult with brokers and employers on enrollment, benefits and electronic service processes

·         Influence, demonstrate and train employer groups about UnitedHealthcare's online electronic services, tools, and technologies

·         Coaches and supports Account Consultants in managing: 1) Timeliness and quality of support provided to AEs, management, customers, and brokers 2) number and quality of customer/broker training sessions delivered on eServices and business impact resulting from that training.

·         Promotes and supports the SB service model

·         Participates in special projects as requested by management

·         Gathers data and identifies trends in order to recommend process improvement strategies, i.e., research issues to analyze root causes and determine corrective action; identify trends in process metrics and service issues to determine root causes.

Requirements

 




·         Minimum 3-5 years industry experience (preferably in benefit enrollment with account management or new business sales strongly preferred in a managed health care industry)

 




·         Demonstrated relationship management skills

 




·         Superior customer service skills including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues

 




·         Strong problem solving and organizational skill

 




·         Requires underwriting, financial and analytical skills.

 




·         Excellent communication (written and verbal) and listening skills

 




·         Excellent group presentation and training skills

 




·         Demonstrated knowledge of benefits

 




·         State Life and Health Insurance License required

 




·         Maintains a valid driver's license

 




·         Travel as required
