POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Marketing & eCommerce - Select Service and Extended Stay is responsible for the creation and execution of cluster and property based marketing & eCommerce programs, as appropriate, for all managed select service and extended stay properties with the objective of exceeding property Revpar and Revpar Index goals. Key areas of focus are: 1) Support the overall development of marketing & eCommerce activities for assigned hotels within the shared service, 2) Ensure all hotels are fully activated on Marriott.com, 3) Ensure pull through of national marketing programs and promotions to support hotel need times, and 4) Provide eCommerce communication, training, and education, as appropriate.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
1) Support the overall development of marketing & eCommerce activities for assigned hotels within the shared service
Assumes leadership role, as requested by Director of eCommerce, Director Marketing & eCommerce, Sr. Manager, Marketing & eCommerce on ad hoc task forces and special projects, including developing processes to identify potential new processes and marketing & eCommerce vehicles
Works independently with Area Directors and DME, to focus efforts towards priority hotels
Coordinate property, market, cluster marketing & eCommerce initiatives, as appropriate
Coordinate photo shoots
Provide marketing budget guidance to property GMs and Area Directors
Support new hotel openings and renovations with marketing & eCommerce
Maintains and grows business of all segments
Proactively manages relationships with multiple contacts in assigned market accounts
Maintains accurate and up to date property data and reporting using financial tools.

2) Ensure all hotels are fully activated on Marriott.com
Work with Director, Marketing & eCommerce and Corporate GES to execute high impact, high priority eCommerce activities
Review eCommerce property report (ecommerce evaluation form) and eChannels report and ensure performance improvements are implemented
Responsible for activation of eAction Plan
Optimize and manage HWS on Marriott.com
Audit HWS to ensure each property is optimized, including high quality custom images, content and links
Implement and manage keywords on HWS copy, metadata and images
Develop and execute eMarketing strategies for stakeholder properties e.g., Paid Search, SEO, and eBrochures
Implement links to and from demand generators
Work with hotels to identify needs to develop HWS Extended Content Pages, as appropriate (e.g., F&B, Weddings)
Guide hotels to effectively update relevant fields in EPIC

3) Ensure pull through of national marketing programs and promotions to support hotel need times
Assist hotels in leveraging Marriott channels to communicate hotel and cluster programs and offers, including Marriott Rewards (newsletters/MEOs/EEOs, Point Savers), email, and Marriott.com
Utilize advertising, direct mail, email templates and media guidelines as provided
Leverage segment collateral and programs (relocation, sports) in Brandworks
Coordinate in conjunction with GD&PS and/or other designated vendor partners as needed for collateral, communications, photography, direct mail, video, etc.
Monitor the use of corporate eTools and BrandWorks on behalf of hotels
Ensure Marketing and eCommerce Brand Standards are maintained
Champion and audit use of B2B eTools to grow online bookings for Group and Corporate Customers
Work with certified vendors to ensure quality, cost effective, on brand executions
Partner with Corporate GES Team and Director of Marketing & eCommerce to provide training and marketing leadership for Area Directors, GMs, Sales Leaders , and Revenue leaders
Assure Marketing & eCommerce plans are in alignment with Brand initiatives and National programs
Transfer accurate, complete, and timely information to Area Directors and property GMs on marketing promotions and tools

4) Provide eCommerce communication, training, and education
Communicate with , Director of Marketing & eCommerce, Director of eCommerce, Sr. Manager, Marketing & ecommerce Area Directors to evaluate property marketing initiatives including eTools
Communicates marketing details throughout organization as initiatives are identified and executed.
Track and report results on eCommerce activities
Provide follow-up meeting notes and reports, summarizing ongoing initiatives, and completed programs with results as appropriate

CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
REQUIRED:
2-3 years experience in the field including: Marriott International marketing department, eAgency, Advertising Agency, Direct Mail and/or Print production company
Hotel experience, particularly hotel sales or marketing experience preferred
Ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational skills
Computer literacy - word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
Excellent written and verbal communications skills including public speaking skills
Budget planning
Strong problem-solving and effective decision making skills
Strong organization skills
Good negotiation skills, effective conflict management skills, and ability to influence others
Ability to develop and maintain relationships e.g., vendors, General Managers, Regional Team, Sales and Revenue leaders
Ability to partner effectively with other peers

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Marketing Management preferred
