Our sole purpose and focus is to manage our customer's supplied part deliveries to production lines or spares inventories. SMS is capable of assuming everything from cutting purchase orders on behalf of the customer; following up on part deliveries; on-site surveillance of supplier's progress; detailed tracking and reporting of milestones; and more. Responsibilities:
* Track the flow of critical/hot parts through the suppliers manufacturing shop from the raw material phase, to the manufacturing process, and onto the shipping dock.
* Create daily status reports and communicate the results with our customers, prime aerospace manufacturers, throughout the day.
* Communicate potential shipping delays including identifying root cause with suppliers on delays and establish recovery plans to bring shipments back on line through e-mail and phone communications.
* Support manufacturing shops to expedite "On Time" part deliveries to major aerospace production companies.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
* Minimum experience of 5 years Manufacturing environment, 3 of which, in Aerospace
* Effective communication skills with exceptional phone etiquette
* Relative industry awareness, must be an "Outside the Box" thinker
* A thorough understanding of outside suppliers with an in depth knowledge of their processes for parts and or services
* Professional individual with a "Can Do" attitude
* Machine Shop, Sheet Metal, Tooling knowledge/experience required for consideration of this position. (Grinding, deburring, heat treatment, rough and final machining, threading, finish plating, prime and paint, passivation, anodizing, NDI, etc.)
* Education -- High School Graduate or Equivalent
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (2010 Excel basic skills required)
* Reliable transportation - must have current/active drivers' license with clean driving record for last 7 years
