The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks one Content Operations DRM Integration Engineer for our Technology and Network Operations Division. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:

The DRM Integration Engineer is responsible for understanding how TWC ' s DRM platform integrates with other TWCTV technology systems and will act as the single point of contact within Content Operations to educate/troubleshoot DRM related concerns. Review Architecture/Engineering proposals/documentation and provide input particularly as related to deployment and operations of the DRM solution. The DRM Integration Engineer uses logical troubleshooting processes and implements documented break/fix actions Responsible for remotely troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining TWCTV video services applications. The DRM Integration Engineer will identify and analyze complex and unique technical issues requiring in-depth evaluation to generate solutions. The DRM Integration Engineer applies a high level of critical thinking skills to identify trending video systems issues, collecting critical data for necessary escalation. Works closely with Content Operations groups and cross-functional surveillance teams to identify potential issues, and/or opportunities within or related to the customers experience. Supports video change activities, including equipment and systems upgrades as requested by engineering teams. Mentors and coaches team members and the Support Center to grow their knowledge base. The DRM Integration Engineer is a technical point of escalation for video events requiring on-call availability. The DRM Integration Engineer is a subject matter expert in video system specific area and surveillance, recognized internally as point of authority on implementing tier 3/4 video break fix actions. Complies with Content Operations objectives, policies/procedures, work schedules, and reporting metrics. Documents repeatable break-fix actions when required, shares and provides training to the Support Center team. Drive operational efficiencies and network performance improvements thru and proactive surveillance and remote break-fix resolutions. Develop and documents operational requirements including monitoring points, dependent systems, failure modes and mitigation/recovery steps Creates and test MOPs prior to being implemented in a live environment

Job Requirements:

Broad experience is preferred but extensive experience in several areas is acceptable

1. Strong team player with the ability to work individually when needed

2. Experience working with caching and streaming delivery platforms

3. Understanding of HTML, HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS

4. Understanding of video delivery and players associated with Apple HLS, Microsoft Smooth Streaming, and Adobe FMS

5. Thorough understanding of DRM and content protection architectures

6. Working experiences with Microsoft PlayReady, Adobe Access, Apple Fairplay, Verimatrix, Ultraviolet and Google Widevine

7. Strong knowledge of DRM hosting environments including internal VM/Oracle platforms as well as external hosting environments such as Irdeto.

8. Experience with large scale storage platforms

9. Experience with hardware and software used for doing adaptive HTTP video encoding from vendors like Digital Rapids, Cisco, Elemental, Harmonic, RGB, Microsoft, Adobe, or others

10. Experience supporting data networks including Ethernet, MPLS, and interior and exterior IP routing protocols

11. Understanding of firewalls and proxy servers

12. Experience with multiple operating systems including variants of Windows, Unix, and Linux.

13. Experience with C#, Silverlight, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, HTML/CSS, and shell scripting

14. Excellent verbal and written customer support skills

15. Strong analytic problem solving and troubleshooting skills

16. Flexibility to work extra hours and holidays if needed

17. Availability to be contacted after hours including weekends and holidays via a pager or cell phone

18. Experience conducting network performance reviews, trend analysis, and chronic issue identification

19. Ability to manage changing priorities and pressure levels

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years working within the content protection / DRM arena. Experience supporting Content Delivery Networks, IP based video acquisition and encoding for over-the-top video delivery, large scale data storage platforms, content and video management systems, Internet video players, Unix/Linux systems, large scale IP networks or a combination of these areas.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor ' s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

Lead: Assigns, trains, schedules or oversees work of others.

Travel Requirements:

Travel 10 %
