Essex Village Manor/Meadowbrook Manor is currently seeking a compassionate, caring, dynamic career minded team member to provide services to high functioning adults with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in a residential group home setting. As the Residential Care Aide, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall administration of the home, including all activities related to the daily operations of the facility. If you are a CNA, residential care aide or a home health aide looking for a long term stable career with full benefits including paid vacations, pension and private health insurance look no further. JOB DESCRIPTION
CNA /Residential Care Aide or Home Health aide:
* Previous experience working with people with mental disabilities is desired
* Candidates must be compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic
* Ability to demonstrate proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or Shift Assignments (e.g., Shift Duty List and Resident Care Manual)
* Understanding of residential care functions in a group living environment
* Understands quality of care objectives
* Understands quality of life objectives
* Review and demonstrate understanding of the use of Resident Care Standards and Practices with the Operations Director and/or on site supervisors
* Demonstrates working knowledge of state regulations as they pertain to the job. RCA's will follow care plans designed to meet the needs of residents which includes general housekeeping duties, medication administration and general administration responsibilities
* Must be available for 3rd shift (11pm - 7am)
