Postpartum Nurse - Postpartum RN - (PP RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $28.00 *
This outstanding Maternity/Postpartum unit, based in beautiful Greenwich , CT is looking for the right RN to join their team of compassionate and driven healthcare professionals. The ideal RN for this unit would have at least 2 years of nursery experience as well as a knowledge on how to care for delivery and caesarean section patients. While on this unit, nurses are expected to assist with breastfeeding and new born care.

Postpartum nurses are responsible for caring for both moms and their newborns after delivery. The postpartum care nurse plays a crucial role in the hours following delivery, monitoring mothers and helping to ensure proper recovery. Postpartum RNs must recognize postpartum depression and teach new moms how to address emotions, while also acting as a teacher for the new parents and usually giving instructions on how to care, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor his or her health.
Required Qualifications
CT license or in-process
BLS
clear criminal history
Preferred Qualifications
EPIC computerized charting experience
travel experience
