A grind operator operates machines such as ID OD CNC Grind Machine. The grind operator is knowledgeable in the basic procedures of operating a CNC Grind Machine.
Primary responsibilities are: Basic blue print reading, block tolerance, notes, and zones, use of inspection equipment, all safety aspects of running machines and handling product.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: One year certificate from college or technical/trade school or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Use of inspection equipment, blue print reading, all safety aspects of operating a machine.
Experience with CNC Grinding is a must

Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop environment.

Physical Demands-General Activities: Regularly lifting/moving up to 10 lbs. Occasionally lifting/moving up to 25 lbs. Occasional sitting, regularly standing, frequent walking, occasional climbing/balancing, frequent reaching with arms and hands, occasional stooping/kneeling/crouching, regular hearing, feeling, touching, regular vision-close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus.
