The Mobile Development Manager will be responsible for managing and leading the team in developing, implementing and supporting enhancements for THD ecommerce Mobile (including Tablet) Web applications.

The Mobile Development Manager will manage a team of resources to deliver high quality Mobile Web applications on time and on-budget. This role will collaborate with a diverse group of architects, designers and product managers to deliver robust mobile solutions that showcase our brand.

An ideal candidate has a foundation in strong project management skills, mobile application development and prior experience with agile methodologies.

In this role

• Successfully managing day-to-day operational and production support activities for Mobile Web applications

• Guiding developers using key project indicators, including schedule, budge and technical quality to ensure successful delivery of Mobile applications.

• Serving as an Online Mobile development subject matter expert across the enterprise. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 10

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
1-2 years of experience in a leader/ team lead capacity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-8+ years of Software delivery experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience with managing development/delivery of mobile web applications
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • Ecommerce and/or retail experience a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
Knowledge of MS Office and Lotus Notes.
Expert proficiency with the Home Depot software architecture, methodology, and governance process.
People leadership/supervisory skills
Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: UNIX, Informix, COBOL, JAVA, Catalyst WMS and YMS, Korn Shell Scripting, Novell, Netware, nnet, Sequelink, TSO/ISPF/MVS, DB2/SQL, JCL, CSP, CICS TCP/IP, Visual Basic, Networking, and LAN administration.
Problem solving and analytical skills
Presentation, facilitation and writing skills.
Project management- estimating, planning, controlling, and execution
