We are currently hiring for 2nd shift Press Operator positions in Woodville, WI. This is an excellent opportunity with a leading manufacturing facility.

Press Operator
To operate the equipment effectively to meet or exceed customers requirements in a timely manner. To abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a Just In Time atmosphere in all aspects of daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Press Set Up.
1. Effective use of time and material to meet or exceed pre-established rates.
2. Ability to read and understand process procedures, specification sheets, work orders and routing orders.
3. Perform all set up activities as outlined on specification sheets and routings.
4. Develop and recommend new ways to reduce set up times.

B. Press Run.
1. Operates press to ensure most effective use of time and material to meet or exceed established rates.
2. Satisfactorily performs job functions with little or no supervision.
3. Use of all established procedures such as, press run sheets, SPC sheets and other job specific data sheets.
4. Performs an acceptable amount of work as other departmental personnel with few or no errors. Zero Defects.
5. All necessary information and documentation is provided such as, control charts, set up diagrams, press run check sheets, core I.D. numbers and customer required information.
6. All job orders are produced with no internal discrepancies or customer complaints.
7. Is aware of estimated run times and strive to meet or exceed estimated times.
8. Communicates all necessary information with Production Supervisor.
9. In all possible areas and at all possible times, conserve stock and limit waste.
10. Understand and maintain the ability to use SPC procedures where required.
11. Able to develop new processes and procedures through on the job experience. Able to run experimental jobs.
12. Ability to use and understand the various measuring devices like steel rulers, digital calipers and precision eye pieces.

C. Performs Routine Maintenance of Equipment:
1. Maintain equipment in good working order during daily operations.
2. Adhere to established preventative maintenance plan.
3. Press is properly cleaned after use.
4. Recommendations for press maintenance are made to plant maintenance personnel.
5. Parts are obtained and returned properly. (clamps, bearings, gears, dies, etc.)

D. Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Area:
1. Work area and equipment are clean at all times.
2. All required guards and safety equipment are properly used.

E. Contributes to a Favorable Working Environment:
1. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees.
2. Willing to work as a team member.
3. Conveys a positive attitude to co-workers.
4. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance when interacting with outside customers, service personnel and vendors.
5. Reflect a positive can do attitude about people, company policies and procedures.
6. Supports management decisions or disagrees in a positive, constructive manner.

F. Performs Assigned Duties and Responsibilities Efficiently and Productively:
1. 92% productivity rating (productive vs. non-productive).
2. Existing set up and run times are met or exceeded.
3. Set up and run times are continually challenged and improved when possible.
4. Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and processes in a given cost center.
5. Maintain a Just In Time atmosphere in all aspects of daily operations.
6. Willingness to perform other tasks not related to your present job description.
7. Correctly maintain an accurate daily time card to ensure accurate accounting records.

G. Follow All Corporate and Departmental Safety Policies and /or Procedures

Requirements
• High attention to detail
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Preferred candidate will have previous experience in slitting machine, press, or lathe operation
• High School Diploma/GED

Wage: $9.50-13.50/hr DOQ

Shift: 2nd shift
