Positions
in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general
claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating,
negotiating, processing and adjusting claims. Authorizes the appropriate
payment or refers claims to investigators for further review. Conducts
data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides
reports as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily/ weekly/ monthly activities of a team members
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met, such as Quality, Adherence, Service Level
  • Coordinates work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc
  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Provides coaching and feedback to team members, including formal corrective action
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for team members
  • Provides expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers
  • Provide
    expertise and/or general claims support to teams in reviewing,
    researching, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims

  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards 
  • Respond to claims appeals

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of previous Team Lead, Supervisory, or Managerial experience leading a team of 10+
  • 3+ years of experience in the development of staff or team 
  • 2+ years of proven ability in providing customer service to internal and or external customers
  • Experience working with Medicaid claims 
  • Advanced level of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience
Assets:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Claims processing experience within a healthcare environment
