Program Supervisor

Location:Bellevue, WA

A drop-in childcare center in Bellevue is currently seeking a Program Supervisor who is passionate and dedicated to providing a high quality of care for children and excellent experience to families. Our program includes children 6 weeks-12 years. This is truly a great opportunity for a qualified applicant to become part of a positive, fun and energy-filled environment, while bringing their knowledge and talent to a great group of staff, fantastic children and families!

The Program Supervisors primary focus is helping to maintain a high quality program throughout the center. Program Supervisor will be responsible to obtain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the program and ensure that the curriculum is presented as intended by following developmentally appropriate practices. Will assist with new staff orientation as well as ongoing training and coaching of staff. Will work closely with staff in building superior customer service while meeting expectations for quality program delivery and operational compliance. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

•Train all new staff through the use of the new hire orientation program, as well as any ongoing training for current staff, as necessary

•Establish mentor/peer counselor role with all employees

•Ordering supplies and equipment and ensuring their used effectively

•Create and maintain relationships with families, demonstrate an ability to proactively address parent questions or concerns

•Have a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum as well as developmentally appropriate practices.

•Actively participates in staff meetings and center events

• Help with the scheduling of staff

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•REQUIRED: A current Child Development Associate certification (CDA) or a minimum of 45 college quarter credit hours in Early Childhood Education.

•2+ years of early childhood education experience in a center setting

•An understanding of the developmental needs of young children

•Demonstrate strong customer service skills

•Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information appropriately

•Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills

•Experience teaching, hiring, training and leading staff highly desirable

• Must be organized

• Assist with tours to prospective parents and explain our learning program to them.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Must submit DEL Portable Background Check or provide clearance, if already obtained

•CPR/First Aid certification (Adults, children & infants) 

•  CDA or Four year degree in Early Childhood Eduation 

• TB Test required at time of employment

• Food Handlers and Blood Bourne Pathagones certificate

• Previous childcare management experience is a plus

• Previous management experience directing a staff is also a plus
