Centonove (www.centonovelosgatos.com), Restaurant in downtown Los Gatos is seeking applicants for the position of Sous Chef. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years Sous Chef experience in a high-volume, casual-dining environment. In addition applicants should have experience with wood burning oven cooking, whole animal butchery, pasta making, an understanding of Neapolitan pizza and a passion for Italian cooking & wine. Centonove is open 7 days a week, lunch and dinner from 11:30am-10:00pm most days except Sunday 11:30 am-9:00pm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Educating, mentoring and supervising the kitchen staff regarding menu execution
and techniques.

Maintaining established standards of food quality, plating, and safety/sanitation.

Engaging in menu planning and recipe development with the Executive Chef/Owners.

Ordering, receiving and maintaining food/ kitchen supplies.

Managing food inventory and cost controls.
Assist with outside events/catering

Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order and maintained on a
recurring basis and in a cost effective manner.

Ensuring the timely completion of administrative tasks such as payroll reporting,
scheduling, POS system maintenance, spreadsheet updating.

This is a salaried position with compensation based on experience. Benefits include: dining stipend, 10 days paid vacation per year with annual increases based on meeting company goals.
