Warranty Administrator

The Warranty Administrator is responsible for preparing, recording, and submitting warranty claims to central warranty, to the factory and/or distributor and reconciling them accordingly.

Responsibilities
  1. Process warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor.
  2. Ensure all documentation is complete per vendor requirements.
  3. Verify criteria required by factory or distributor using warranty checklist.
  4. Reconcile all warranty receivables with credits received through the appropriate accounting schedule.
  5. Code credits for input by posting clerk.
  6. Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off.
  7. Follow up on payment of outstanding claims.
  8. Track warranty parts.
  9. Verify parts have been shipped to the factory or distributor and provides parts/cores scrap list.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One month warranty experience and/or training.
  • Appropriate manufacturer training.
