CNC Machine Operator

Duties:
  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters.
  • Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.
  • Set tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches; calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry.
  • Set-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers; indicate vices.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample work pieces; adhere to international standards.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of at least 2-3 years experience as a CNC machinist, metal fabrication experience and experience in machine set up, as well as at least 1 year of recent CNC operation experience; experience driving a forklift is a plus.
  • The ability to lift up to 50lbs individually and work independently, as well as take directions well.
  • Must have safety toe work boots.
  • 2 nd shift, Monday – Friday.
