About this job

The Director of Analytics will be responsible for identifying market needs and trends as they relate to analytics and leading the integration within the product suite offered by the company.  They will own strategic and marketing initiatives to enhance the companies product-set or define new products to provide cutting edge solutions to our global customer base. This position requires interaction with market participants and Product Managers, with the ability to collect critical market feedback and convert that data into business requirements, strategies and a product roadmap that will provide our company with competitive advantages and allow us to leapfrog the competition.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform market research and analysis to determine market needs and opportunities within targeted market for analytics
  • Contribute to the definition of priorities across all products, including the timing, requirements and milestones to meet current and future market opportunities
  • Analyze Lewtan’s product set and provide gap analysis versus competition and industry needs, providing a holistic view of the role of analytics across all components
  • Create product rollout plans for all new products and major enhancements
  • Develop ROIs that support the overall product P&L
  • Manage the business analysts and modelers responsible for developing functional specifications
  • Work with Development organization to ensure the proper modifications and enhancements are being done in accordance with product roadmaps and prioritization
  • Support the sales team by leading the development of sales tools and training materials; to include product features, functionality and benefits
  • Approve product releases and define release criteria to ensure the product functions as designed
  • Create a business plan with ROI the analytics product. Ultimately, could lead to ownership of P&L for defined product line
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA in Business Management, Finance or equivalent from top rated school
  • Minimum 10 years in financial services with a focus on securitization preferred
  • Analytical background with focus on quantitative analytics and/or statistics
  • Strong, proven experience in managing product requirements and product release planning
  • Understanding of the software product development life cycle
  • Ability to translate market requirements into functional specifications and product plans
  • Excellent team work and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment, remaining flexible, and being proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and multitask
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience working in a technology environment is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skill
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
