Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU Nurse - (PACU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $26.50 *
As a valued member of the PACU nursing team, you will care for patients with a wide range of conditions including complex cases.
The role of the post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) is to provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The PACU RN treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs, monitoring their vital signs to determine necessary care. (Postoperative nausea is a commonly treated symptom.) Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Required Qualifications

NE/Compact License
2 References
Experience needed: Recovery/Critical Care experience.
Oral Airway management
ACLS & PALS required

Kearney is home to the University of Nebraska which was founded in 1905. The city’s Moto is: “The Heart of Nebraska”. There are two microbreweries there as well as the Museum of Nebraska art which houses artifacts from 175 years ago, as far back as the 19th century.
