ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

LOCATION: Canby, OR

PAY: $11/hr

 

SHIFT: Must have open availability to work 10 hour days Mon-Sat starting at 5am. Shift may change week to week. Typical shift is: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm with occasional Sat.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs assembly and testing of HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatograph) equipment. Work entails a moderate degree of complexity. Good mechanical reasoning is essential. All completed work must conform to company quality standards.

 

ESSENCIAL FUNCTIONS:

1) Reads work orders, follows production drawings and samples assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. 

2) Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other.

3) Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment.

4) Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, printed circuit boards, power supplies, and sub assemblies on chassis panel.

5) Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using bonding procedures and equipment.

6) Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.

7) Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies.

8) Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color coding parts and assemblies.

9) Adjusts or trims material from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.

10) Performs on-line go/no go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

11) Assist team members with various tasks.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

12) Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

16) Good visual acuity for small, close work

17) Able to transport materials, weighing up to 50lbs from ground level to at least 5 ft
