CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer needed for Machine Shop in Emigsville, PA - to create the programming that is sent to the machines for the machine operator to utilize. Requirements: *Advanced education or degree in the area CAD / CAM from a technical institute *3-5 years experience in the field would be a benefit but not necessary. *Ability to read and comprehend 2D Blueprints Duties: Utilize Auto Cad ver. 2010LT for creating parts drawings and DXF Files *Utilize Trumpf Trutops Ver. 4 for creating programs to be utilized on a Trumpf Laser Cutter. *Utilize Syteline ver. 8 for various customer service, inventory, & plant floor controls & uses * Develops programs that control the processing of parts by various CNC machine tools such as lasers, waterjet, and mills. * Specifies & designs and/or contributes to the development of tooling and fixtures required for the CNC machine to be utilized. * Analyzes customer supplied samples, drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine location of reference points, dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tool parameters, machine speeds and feed rates. *Creates accurate CNC programs that run effectively and efficiently and result in the production of parts that are to the specifications of the part and are consistent, repeatable and of the highest quality possible. *Writes instructions and tool lists to aid machine setup and operation for current running job and future repeatable jobs. *Reviews final program data and instructions for accuracy and conformity to manufacturing router and part specifications. *Works with the machine operators and observes initial use of CNC program and instructions on the first part article to ensure the part is within specifications. *When identified and possible makes changes to the program to optimize results. *Updates programs to reflect current part revision level.
