Oncology Nurse - (Onc RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $28.00 *
This outstanding Oncology unit, based in beautiful Greenwich , CT is looking for the right RN to join their team of compassionate and driven healthcare professionals. The ideal RN for this unit would have at least 2 years of Medical Oncology, chemo and bio therapy experience with very strong IV skills.
The role of the oncology nurse (Onc RN) is to provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, but usually focusing on the acute phase. The Onc RN will help patients ranging from post-surgical to near-terminal manage their disease and treatment effectively, and may also be responsible for administering chemotherapy (which requires additional certification). Oncology nurses may practice in hospitals and outpatient facilities or provide home-based care.
Required Qualifications
BLS
previous travel experience
strong IV skills
minimum of two years current chemotherapy/biotherapy administration administration experience.
Electronic Documentation
clear criminal history
Preferred Qualifications
EPIC
Onc cert.
