Pitney Bowes Mail Services
This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Mail Services business unit. This business unit helps customers earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services, doing work the U.S. Post Service would otherwise have to perform. This service spans the globe with international offerings, ranging from mail preparation and fulfillment to courier and freight services.

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Clerk at our Stafford, TX Location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible to check the quality of mail for legibility, proper date, correct postage, endorsement, and complete address information. Assist in organizing and separating the mail.

Fans through the mail to check quality. Reviews for legibility correct date and postage, proper endorsement, class and complete address information.
Organizes the mail by separating the mail that has been quality checked from mail that has not been checked.
Reviews pickup slips received from driver's route to ensure all slips have been received.
Reviews pick up slip for a container count.
Identifies mail to be processed, grouping by letters, flats and postcards.
Reviews mail and recognize quality issues, photocopy a sample, place the tray on the worktable and contact the CSR or Supervisor.
Recognizes MLOCR compatible mail, overweights, Fastforward and non-Fastforward mail to organize for proper processing.
Reviews each mail try prior to forwarding to MLOCR's.
Samples three places in each tray, when applicable.
Identifies customers' mail by using meter lists and other tools.
Assists in other departments and performs other duties as assigned or needed.
Regular scheduled attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualification

Required Qualifications:
Skills in organization

Ability to compare and read numbers and customer name and instructions.

Knowledge of USPS regulations and requirements for processing mail.

Knowledge of MLOCR mail compatibility requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop or bend approximately 80% of the time with or without accommodation

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the importance of quality in the processing of customer's mails.

Ability to work overtime and/or an offshift which may include weekends and holidays with little or no advance notice.

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday `1:00 am - 9:00 am

Rate of pay: $10.50 per hour
